Welcome to Casa Cares!
CASA Cares is the non-profit segment of the Commerce and Administration Student Association (CASA) at Concordia University’s JMSB (John Molson School of Business).
We are a volunteer-based organization whose mission is to promote social awareness and responsibility within JMSB and encourage students to get actively involved within the Montreal Community.
If you had told me at this time last year that I would be the President of the charity wing for JMSB, I’m not entirely sure I would have believed you, and yet here I am, and I’m having the time of my life with an amazing group of people. After spending last year as the VP Public Relations for the committee, I knew that I wanted to do more for the school and our community- CASA Cares is the perfect mix of all the things I love most, particularly working closely with local charities. My ultimate goal is to travel to distant countries & donate my time, but for now I’m focusing on putting together great events with my dedicated team!
My passion is writing; when I’m not doing that, you can usually find me with my nose buried in a book or at a concert. I’m self-diagnosed with wanderlust, and a sucker for cute animal YouTube videos.
Alexandre Tomovic- VP Executive
Hi! With my love for life, I am looking forward to continue sharing my passion towards making a positive difference in today’s world. There are so many things any of us can do to contribute in our community, and CASA Cares will be looking to bring things to the next level for the year 2013-2014. One Love.
Jessica Viscosi- VP Events & Finance
Hi everyone I’m Jessica, a second year accounting student who loves traveling, shopping and being with my friends and family. Being chosen as the first year representative of CASA Cares last year was such a rewarding experience and I am so excited to begin my second year with CASA Cares as VP Events!
Frédérique Bouchard - VP Communications
Hi everyone, I’m Frede: an International Business student with a passion for culture, fashion and music! When I’m not planning my next trip to the Sonoran desert, you’ll most likely find me (shopping) downtown, at my favorite bakery trying new flavors of macaroons, or reading the New York Times – fairtrade coffee in hand! I am eager to give back to the Montreal community by putting my communication skills to work.
Yujin Oh- VP Promotions
My name means Precious City, and it symbolizes Heaven. While my heart breaks for the less fortunate, I am also passionate about fashion, football (soccer), foreign affairs, and food. You may catch me in latest restaurants, indulging on appealing dishes of which I will instagram, reading the world news and fashion blogs at an unknown café, or at a nice bar, cheering on my favorite football team. Yep, I’m that girl.
Genevieve Cadieux- VP Marketing
I am majoring in Marketing and have a background in fashion and design, always mixing business with pleasure! My passion for travelling inspires me from different places around the world, keeping Montreal close to my heart. I hope to pursue a career that would fulfill my ambition in helping others.
Caroline Messier-Gemes- VP Internal
I’m a Marketing major with a need and passion for travel. I hope to one day move to Europe, and travel the world, and I know I will never stop being amazed by what this beautiful world has to offer. You will often find me on the 4th floor, Starbucks coffee in hand, either studying or chatting away (most likely the latter). I’m a music junkie who loves discovering new talent and going to small venue shows. Although I am a total indie girl, I enjoy the occasional hit that gets me jumping around and dancing like there’s no tomorrow. I am looking forward to a new year of great events, of working with amazing people, organizing events for even greater causes.
Bria D’Amours- VP Corporate Relations
My name is Bria, and with a major in Management and a minor in Marketing, I am the definition of “Work Hard, Play Hard”. I believe that one must work with continuous dedication and perseverance in order to then be rewarded and achieve success in life. I am incredibly passionate about charity work, especially when involving children, and hope to eventually pursue a career in this field as an event planner. I also have an undeniable love for traveling, fashion, great food, and EDM.
