Dom Rebel has been a strong supporter of the CASA Cares fashion show for several years now. Movember at JMSB this year has been something pretty epic. In case you hadn’t seen, we’ve become JMo’SB for the month of November, and CASA Cares (in association with CASA) has been proud to host a bunch of events in celebration of the accomplishments of all the Mo Bros and Mo Sistas out there.

At the beginning of the month, there was the SHAVE OFF that was a huge success, and now that we’re two weeks into this month of fundraising for prostate cancer research, CASA Cares has just announced another major event that YOU should be going to…

We’d also like to thank Miriam Kissel for her inspiring speech about surviving breast cancer with the help of her family- not to mention the Ville-Marie Medical Center, and the Cancer Prevention Center at the Jewish General Hospital for taking their time to help educate students about preventive measures. Without all of them, the night could not have been a success.

Most importantly, our evening would not have been complete without all of you who came out, bought drinks, made donations & helped us raise 1,100$ for a cause that is close to all of our hearts. We hope to see all of you (and your friends, your mom, your dad, your aunt, your uncle, your cousins…) at our next event! There is nothing we love more than seeing your lovely faces there supporting these great charities with us.

In just TWO DAYS’ time, CASA Cares will be hosting the first ever Pink Cocktail event in support of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation. Our event, in case you haven’t heard about it yet, is from 6-9pm on Thursday October 25th on the 4th floor of the Molson Building.

We are currently selling tickets for the Cocktail. You can either come by our office (MB 4.431), find us in the MB Lobby on Wednesday and Thursday during the day, or stop by MB 4.406 (right near the CASA Office) to buy tickets for you and all your friends.

It was a huge success despite the cold and the rain, and it was all thanks to the incredibly dedicated soccer teams who came out to play for a great cause.

Our focus so far this year has been primarily with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, as well as the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation. In September, we co-hosted one of the most successful bake sales at John Molson; all proceeds went directly to CIBC’s Run for the Cure which our team, One Love, was present for on September 30th. Our group raised over four THOUSAND dollars this year for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation- and we aren’t done yet.

There will be more of these delicious treats for you very soon! 

CASA Cares is currently planning a Pink Cocktail event. It will be much more than just pink cocktails, though. On October 25th you can join all the members of our team where we will be serving drinks, appetizers, and teaching everyone more about the effects of breast cancer on both men and women in 2012. All proceeds of this event will be going directly to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Our commitment to students this year is to organize the best events we can, in support of great charitable causes. We can’t wait to share more of these with you in coming weeks; we have so many great things planned for the 2012-2013 school year. Hope to see you at one of our events!

Last Tuesday, CASA Cares team took advantage of the nice weather to shoot some scenes of the city for THE CITY 2012! With the help of our amazing videographer Kyle and our two beautiful models Isabelle and Thomas, we walked down the streets of Montreal looking for the hottest spots. You want to find out where our search led us? The video will be presented during the Fashion Show on March 8th. Hurry up, tickets are selling fast!
